Ferrari 126CX comprex / 126CK turbo 1981

La stagione 1981 si apre ufficialmente a Long Beach dove debutta in gara il primo motore sovralimentato della storia Ferrari a discapito del Comprex, il compressore volumetrico realizzato dalla Svizzera Brown Boveri utilizzato solo in prova. Debutta anche il mitico numero #27 reso leggendario dalle imprese di Gilles Villeneuve nelle stagioni 1981 e 1982. Nel Gran Premio di Usa Ovest a Long Beach partito dalla terza fila Gilles arriva infatti primo alla staccata ma purtroppo non riesce a conservare la prima posizione. The 1981 season officially begins in Long Beach where made its debut in the first turbo engine of the Ferrari history at the expense of Comprex, the supercharger made by the Swiss Brown Boveri used only in practice. Also debuted the mythical number # 27 that became legendary thanks to Gilles Villeneuve exploits in the seasons 1981 and 1982. In the Usa Ovest G.P. at Long Beach Gilles started from the third row and comes off first but unfortunately it fails to preserve the first place.
