( I ) Utilizzando un motore 6 cilindri da 4500cc la Talbot, nota soprattutto per le sue gran turismo di serie, realizzò alla fine degli anni ‘50 una monoposto da Gran Premio che risultò essere molto competitiva. Nel 1948 infatti, al Gran Premio di Francia, ben tre Talbot si classificarono alle spalle delle Alfette dominatrici in quegli anni. Nel 1949 Rosier vinceva in Gran Premio del Belgio e Chiron quello di Francia. Nel 1950, quando venne istituito il Campionato del mondo di Formula 1, le Talbot ottennero svariati piazzamenti grazie a piloti del calibro di Rosier, Chiron, Etancelin, Giraud-Cabantous, Gonzalez, Pilette e Levegh. L’anno 1951 segna il declino di questa monoposto ormai superata tecnicamente dalle vetture dotate di motore sovralimentato. L’esemplare di telaio 110006 fu acquistato in comproprietà dai quattro piloti dell’Ecurie Belgique: Jacques Swaters, Roger Laurent, Charles de Tornaco e André Pilette per partecipare ad alcune gare del campionato mondiale di Formula 1. Il miglior piazzamento fu il sesto posto ottenuto da André Pilette al GP del Belgio del 1951 dove furono iscritte ben sette Talbot Lago su tredici partecipanti.

( GB ) At the end of the 1950s, Talbot, known mainly for grand touring series, created a Grand Prix single-seater mounting a six-cylinder, 4500cc engine. It proved to be very competitive. In fact in 1948, a total of three Talbots placed in the French Grand Prix, just behind the Alfettas, which dominated at that time. In 1949, Rosier won the Belgian Grand Prix and Chiron the French. In 1950, when the Formula 1 World Championship was established, the Talbots achieved various placements thanks to drivers of the calibre of Rosier, Chiron, Etancelin, Giraud-Cabantous, Gonzalez, Pilette and Levegh. 1951 marked the decline of this single-seater, which by then had been technically surpassed by cars with supercharged engines. The chassis 110006 model was acquired by four Ecurie Belgique drivers (Jacques Swaters, Roger Laurent, Charles de Tornaco and André Pilette) together in order to participate in some of the Formula 1 World Championship races. The best ranking was a sixth place, obtained by André Pilette at the Belgian Grand Prix in 1951, in which seven Talbot Lagos were registered out of a total of 13 participants.
